May the forks be with you!

St Pauls and Lime Cafe had a fantastic weekend on 23rd and 24th July, as the place was taken over by darleks, Doctor Whos, Storm Troopers, Yoda, Darth Maul and various other famous characters!

Highlights of the event included David Prowse who played Darth Vader signing autographs and talking to fans.  Also at the event was lots of activities for kids, a life size model of the tardis, stalls, illustrators and talks.

This year’s special guests hailed from the world of comicbooks.

PAT MILLS is known as “The Godfather of British Comics’. Pat started 2000 AD – one of Britain’s most famous comics. He played a major part in the development of Judge Dredd, and created icons like the ABC Warriors, Nemesis the Warlock, Slaine, Marshall Law and many more! Pat has also written for Doctor Who, and his work has been released as part of Big Finish’s excellent Doctor Who audio range.

Artist GLENN FABRY is famous for his rich, detailed style (especially his covers). Glenn started work on Slaine. He’s worked with Garth Ennis (on Hellblazer, Preacher, and Thor!) and Neil Gaimann (on Sandman & Neverwhere) Glenn will also be signing and working with BUZZ COMICS, showing aspiring writers and artists how to write, draw and publish your own comic creations.
