National Poetry Day in Worthing – live, local and interactive. October 4th at St Pauls.
The competition is for over 19 years (max 300 words) 16-19 years (200 words) and under 16 (100 words). The shortlisted three appear in The Herald so local readers can vote for the winner, to be published in The Herald and performed on the day. All entries should be received by 13th September. Entry forms will be published nearer the time and prizes will be announced once sponsors have signed on the dotted line.
Poetry Wall is open all day so you can drop in (free) read the displayed texts then add your favourite and/or a sample of your own work.
Evening event (tickets out soon) will start with the performance of chosen texts both national and local then the headline act is Patience Agbabi.
